Quadratschulz is the braindance electronic music project of Carsten Schulz. The Hamburg-based artist started his musical career in the emerging German hip-hop scene of the mid-90s. Schulz produces high energy music that is a vision of lasers, pulsing neon and gleaming chrome. Arcade game memories. Curls of acid. Electrofunk vocals. Synth wave chic. The styles are juxtaposed. 303 bars throb and strings soar wonderfully warm with autumnal quality. Yet there are colder moments: Future-world funk, electro, vocoders, braindance, bleep bliss! Welcome to a sound journey back to the infamous warehouse parties of the 90s.
