n5MD is a Independent record label founded in 2000, based in Oakland, California and founded by Mike Cadoo. They release contemporary electronic music that focuses on melody and emotion, releasing music over 100 albums to date in compatible genres branching between post-rock, post-classical, experimental ambient music, IDM and electro-acoustic.

They have a line up of some of the most influential artists in the IDM scene, including Dryft, Keef Baker, Ocoeur, Miwon, Proem, Suumhow, Gimmik and many more.

n5MD started out as a MiniDisc-only label, the label name meaning "No Fives, Minidiscs!" But when Sony DADC Austria stopped manufacturing pre-recorded MDs, n5MD changed over to CDs. Much of the back catalogue is available for purchase in MP3 format from the label's web site. n5MD signed with Redeye Worldwide in October 2017 for North American physical and worldwide digital distribution.
