Analogical Force brings a new name to the table with Bot1500, an alias of Shinichi Kobayashi, who is producing some seriously good quality 2005-era AFX acid.

The Matrix EP contains a fair few breakbeat tunes which hare off at breakneck speed - ‘505-10’ and ‘Route 53’ for instance. These tracks show the influence of genre luminaries like Squarepusher, though they aren’t quite as manic as his productions. There are also moments such as ‘Spring Track 2’ and ‘13th’ where Bot1500 slows things down. This trick which brings out the melodiousness of his synth work very nicely, the warm pads bouncing off dinky synth motifs to lovely effect.
