About

Displacer is the solo electronic project of Toronto, Ontario-based musician Michael Morton. With an expansive discography spanning 14-years, we’ve seen the artist migrate from post-industrial leanings to current downtempo electronic strains. Through releases from labels including Hymen Records, Ant-Zen, n5MD, Tympanik Audio and M-Tronic.

In addition to his own music, Displacer has remixed the likes of Claire Voyant, Architect, Converter, Beefcake amongst many others.

Displacers music is a fully realized and articulated musical vision that captures the majesty and wonder of the cosmos within his songs.
Languid pads are paired perfectly with chilled abstract percussion, studies in oblique motion that bring to mind the slow drift of space, contrasted with brain melting glitches his albums are a must listen.
