Jodey Kendrick has released a 12" EP on Rephlex, named Indus Silver Club. He has also made music under the names ‘+10 Acid Crew’, ‘French Police’ and ‘Roleplay’ in the genre of braindance. His EDM Label containing releases from his various pseudonyms, in addition to releases from some of the iconic idm/braindance labels such as WéMè Records, Rephlex and Djak-Up-Bitch.

His warped out acid, hyper breakbeats and psychedelic melodies all integrate with the reflexes that are the foundation for healthy brain development. Cycling through these patterns may also fill in missing gaps in our sensory-motor system. Quirky Electronix to full on High Tech Electro Funk.

One might say it’s very Drexciyan or Aphexy music, but that’s because it’s rooted in Rephlex’s favourite genres of New York Disco, Chicago House and Detroit Techno, though with a certain mystery something special added. Careful use of microtuning and analogue tweaking, combined with a very British pastoral quality, Jodey provides us with something pleasurable and original to listen to every time.
